MCE's experienced engineering and fabrication staff provides a seamless service--from the development of initial concepts, through all stages of fabrication, to equipment installation and prove out. Our integrated approach to project planning and execution of projects , coupled with our state-of-the art prototype testing facilities and experienced machining and fabrication staff , enables us to maintain close project supervision and control, perform in-ship validation during the design/fabrication process, and ensure that the equipment we deliver meets or exceeds all predefined performance specifications.
Our climate-controlled facility includes 23,000 sq. ft. of shop space and a lay-down yard with concrete test pads for product testing, material staging, and storage.
MCE's in-house manufacturing facilities include a UL-508A/698A electrical control panel shop , MCE Controls , and a fabrication facility , the MCE Fabrication Shop. MCE maintains a fully implemented NQA-1 program, including all basic and supplemental criteria, for all design, fabrication, and testing activities.
The MCE Fabrication Shop has a 15-ton bridge crane with a 25-foot hook height. Head height of the fabrication bay is 35 feet. The facility is laid out to maximize segregation of stainless steel from carbon steel and has six 10 welding booths stations and associated tooling, fixturing, and measurement and test equipment. MCE has a contract with Local 598 for qualified journeyman welders who perform all welding operations. MCE manufacturing staff and facilities allow us to provide many unique services , including precision welding of various specialty metals.
The facility also encompasses a large, secured lay-down yard, including four concrete test pads with access to electrical power, water, and compressed air, and enclosed material storage and segregation facilities.
MCE maintains a collaborative marketing and business relationship with G&M Machine , an 11,000-sq ft machine shop located on Wellsian Way in Richland. G&M Machine provides
specialty machining in support of MCE projects. |
